HOW WE CARE

Our Operational Model

Step 1: Identifying Children in Need

Children come to us through community referrals, social workers, faith communities, and direct family contact. Each child is assessed to understand their background, level of vulnerability, specific needs, and the circumstances that brought them to us. We prioritize children who face the highest risk—those experiencing homelessness, abuse, neglect, abandonment, or extreme poverty.

Step 2: Providing a Safe and Structured Home

Once admitted, each child enters a structured residential environment designed to create safety, consistency, and belonging. Daily routines (including meals, schooling, study time, chores, worship, and recreation) help children develop the discipline and emotional stability that many have never experienced. Our home is not an institution. It is a family.

Step 3: Access to Quality Education

We believe education is one of the most powerful tools for lifting a child out of vulnerability permanently. Every child in our care is enrolled in a quality school. We cover all costs, including tuition, uniforms, stationery, and examination fees. Academic progress is regularly reviewed, and children who need additional academic support receive tutoring and mentorship from dedicated volunteers and staff.

Step 4: Healthcare and Nutritional Support

Children receive three nutritious meals daily, regular medical check-ups, and prompt treatment when they fall ill. We maintain hygiene education as part of our daily routine. For adolescents (particularly young girls), we provide age-appropriate health education, including menstrual health support, ensuring that every child understands and is equipped to care for their own body with dignity.

Step 5: Faith, Character, and Emotional Development

Beyond academics, we invest deeply in the inner life of every child. Through faith-based teaching, mentorship, group discussions, and intentional community, we nurture resilience, self-worth, moral courage, and a sense of God-given purpose. We want children who do not just survive their circumstances but who are transformed by them into people of exceptional character.

Step 6: Transition to Adulthood

As children grow older, we guide them into the next chapter with deliberate support. For those pursuing higher education, we assist with university applications and funding. For those entering the workforce, we provide vocational guidance and employment support. Our goal is not dependent children; it is empowered adults who are equipped, confident, and ready to contribute meaningfully to society.
